Hey guys, hows it goin? Im off after 2 busy long days...now reluctantly trying to finish up reading for my ALS course...duh...hehe
Had a scare over the weekend...my younger bro was had an emergency admission to the hospital...was vomiting like nearly 1L of blood n clots...i was worried and scared to bits...couldnt sleep till I know he was stable...in fact, I nearly wanted to take unpaid leave to go home...
You see, he had tonsillectomy more than a week ago...went for appt a few days post-op and found a blood clot at the site, which then had been drained...was doing well for d next couple of days till he woke my mom up in d middle of the night, complaining that he was vomiting blood...
It was bleeding from both ends of the op site...i juz cant believe something so small can bleed slowly till up to nearly 1L??!! Wat d hell...and I was more worried of the fact that it might not juz be bleeding from the op site itself, but from somewhere else!!
He had a blood transfusion and had to go for an emergency op...used diathermy to kind of "burn" the site to stop the bleeding and had a scope juz to make sure that everywhere else is clear...n thank God everywhere else is clear...Alhamdulillah...I've never felt so helpless before...sigh...Anyway all is good now...hopefully no such scary events in the future...insyallah :)
