Montserrat....we caught metro to the station, and from there we could buy different kind of tickets...either take a train and cable car, or take a train n den a tram...n we chose d latter... actually coz we saw dat 1st...only after we bought d tics dat we realise we could take d cable car...damn heehee...anyway, d train's journey was abt an hour, and then d tram/cable car probably took abt 15-20mins.
Montserrat, which means serrated mountain, is a mountain that is located right in the middle of the precoastal mountain range, and thus clearly stands out eventhough it is not d highest peak. Montserrat consists of "big lumps" of hardened, eroded rocks with limestone which makes them different from other mountains in d area, as they are unusually hard and thus able to withstand erosion.
Each year, thousands of people come to Montserrat to worship the image of St.Mary in the basilica, and there are about one hundred Benedictine monks in Montserrat today.
There are so many walks and paths to choose from and from whichever one that u choose to do will still give u scenic views of the monastery and the shrine. Of course u always can start first with d chapel and museum itself, and the St.Mary's Square. U can walk on d left side, right side, up, down...and u will come across different plaques and sculptures and chapels...its just a matter of whether u got d time...watever it is, d scenery is so beautiful and breathtaking...i felt so small there looking at those big rocks with d beautiful sky at d background heehee...u can even see river and lands n mountains faraway...definitely a place to go to...

Look at dat happy smug look on my face haha...Montserrat...i love...heehee
