Arrived in Madrid through a "sleeper" train, basically overnight train...got bunk bed but imagine six beds in a small room...damn "squeezy"...i was on d middle bed...dunno how i still managed to sleep but not a good one though....Madrid is of course d capital of Spain and i somewhat expected it to be like London...traffic...people rushing here n there, and quite rowdy teenagers too though nothing compared to those in London heehee...It was still chilly and windy...actually damn windy...
For me, there's nothing much to see in Madrid...i reckoned 2days is enough...and in dat 2days, we were quite relaxed, had quite a few naps here n there, and window shopping heehee...did bought a few bags...cheap ones...really felt like buying more but me managed to control myself heehee...
This area is called Plaza de Cibeles-one of Madrid's best-known landmarks. Dat building is Palacio de Linares-displaying collection of paintings by Latin American artists, and also used as a venue for theatrical performances and lectures. It's not dat clear from the pic but in front of dat building is the Fuente de Cibeles-a beautiful sculpted fountain displaying Cybele, Graeco-Roman goddess of nature sitting on her lion-drawn chariot.

Parque del Retiro-was once used privately by the royal family. Inside the park, there is a lake where rowing boats can be hired. Wanted to go rowing wif dat someone but so windy and chilly...
There are many museums in Madrid as well but i never visited most of them coz got to pay for something which honestly, i wont really appreciate and probably might start dozing off hahaha... There is dis popular museum called Museo del Prado, containing the world's greatest collection of Spanish paintings as well as foreign collections fr Italy. Along the way to d museum, there are art works and sculptures along d way and came across some weird sculptures, like d headless body with one wing. Took pics of the front and back view hehehe. Again, it's not dat clear but u can actually see a face on the thigh of d back view....so weird...
And dats Madrid!!
Might post abt Cordoba and Seville a bit later coz starts work tomoro...damn....
