Burned Out...

hey guys...havent blog for a while...been bz n tired at work..off today but back on nite tomorrow and i juz finished two hellish long days...y ?? coz not enough staff...people been sick...booked for a nurse but none available apparently as according to the nurses' agency...whether true or not is beyond my control....so had to work with 3staf, which included me...so buzy...patients have been sick...needed loads of nursing care and close monitoring....and yet patients were coming in from all directions...A&E, the medical wards, intensive care...my ward is like a dumping ground... dont mind bz if fully staffed....and this is not a new thing...been going on for weeks...and dats y some of us have been putting up clinical incidents coz its juz such unsafe practice with regards to the patients....
felt so burned out yesterday....never really felt like dat b4....luckily off today...my precious off day...back on nite tomorrow and then one off day and den back on two long days again, which im pretty sure will be hellish again...on my off nite day though will drag myself to this meeting with one of d director of nursing....had to go to make a stand regarding the situation in d ward... its getting from bad to worse and management is sooooo f***ked up...sigh....
Still feeling tired...wonder wat my nite shift will bring.....
